As he blames the players (and I'm fine with that--the effort has been poor), he says the system has been successful. Perhaps the base defense has (at other places) been successful, but not here and not anywhere else under Cross. As a co-coordinator in TCU, in the limited # of times they managed to keep a team under 25 pts, how much of that can be attributed to Cross' ability? Hopefully he's done at Missouri.
