Garrett plays slow. We're in serious trouble.

Have been rewatching some of the MTSU game and that's one of the first things that I picked up on: the kid's inexperience is making him play slow. He may be fast off of the field but that's not translating to Scherer-type run support or pursuit across and down the field.

On one of his solo tackles up the middle, I saw him drop to knee and just hug the MTSU RB.

He's getting pushed out and cut blocked out of position.

I'll give a perfect example:

Garrett blitzes on one play in the second half. The pass is completed to his side and the offensive receiver is up and making cuts after his reception. You see TBJ rushing in and making a play while Garrett is easily 3-4 steps behind TBJ.

We're are ****ed.
