The QB's skills were adequate, but not spectacular. He was able to roll out a little bit, against undisciplined pressure. He could actually go through progressions. Apparently that is too much to ask for a highly recruited SEC QB, so maybe he is all-world based on that alone.
Their WR's--all of them, on every play--actually ran routes. That gives options to the QB. Then they actually caught the ball, mostly, in contrast to WR's who got recruited to an SEC school.
Their offensive coordinator seemed like he scouted his opponent, and figured out how to exploit weaknesses, in both individual positions and scheme, in an SEC defense.
Their defensive coordinator somehow, amazingly, figured out that if you play even close to press coverage against SEC wide receivers, you will win most of the battles even without committing pass interference, because our WRs look like DBs trying to catch the damn ball.
They had less skill at almost every position. They played far better than Mizzou's players. They were a well-coached team. Mizzou's was not.
