playing Arkansas away and Florida at home in the last 3 games. Also get a mediocre Georgia team on the road in between. Arky is ranked #15 in the polls and #12 in RPI. Florida is ranked #20 in the polls and #13 in RPI. Beating either Arkansas or Florida would be great for this team. Don't think we will sweep them.
Hard to figure out this team and how far they can go in the NCAA tourney. We have 2 1-0 losses to really good ranked teams Auburn and Notre Dame, both on the road. Their RPIs are 8 and 11 respectively. No shame there. Had an awful loss at the start of the season to a crappy Iowa team, RPI 112. Our only other loss is to a crappy Tennessee team on the road, RPI 107. But we played without 3 of our best players who were suspended for getting caught drinking at a football game. That cost us a win over UT.
We don't really have what you could call a signature win, yet. The best win on our resume up to now is over Colorado, RPI 39. The rest of our non conference schedule, besides Notre Dame, was awful. The SEC has 4 ranked teams, SC, Auburn, Arkansas, and Florida. We have only played 1 so far. We don't have SC on our schedule. Which makes the opportunities coming up against Arkansas tonight and Florida next week so crucial.
