continue to give them and early weeks rankings so much credibility. Every year there are phantom ranked teams.
We shouldn't have any polls until after the first weekend of play in October. This would avoid the bias of preseason polls and allow a more honest ranking of the teams. People wouldn't be defending their weak previous rankings and propping up those they ranked too high early.
