The SEC is a football league. The era of bball at Mizzou is waning or even dead. Perception is reality and we can't put forth the appearance that Bball is higher on the food chain than Football. Football is all that matters in the SEC and its all that should matter to the Mizzou fan base. Basketball is just a bonus sport to keep us entertained between our Bowl games, signing day and the Spring game.
If football tanks it brings down the whole ship. The waves of basketball can't even float a piece of Styrofoam.
If the Football program rises to the level it needs to be at then of course the Bball program can benefit from the scraps.
But all our effort and most of our resources have to be invested in football until it is up to snuff.
This is the reality of our situation.
