Maybe Sen Maggert was complacent having run unopposed the past few primaries...
....More than firearm rights encouraged retired Hendersonville teacher Linda Forehand to chose Rogers Thursday.
“Because of her background, (Rogers) understands armed forces and going to war and she has leadership skills,” Forehand, 72, said. “Rogers is also not as negative as Maggart, and I feel we just need a fresh start.”
At the party in Millersville, Jonathan Hendley was among those who said he used to support Maggart but had decided to vote for Rogers this year.
“She came to my house and answered my questions above and beyond your expectations, and she did it with conviction and off of a script,” Hendley said. “The real battle begins (Friday) because she is going to wake up some angry people because we’re breaking status quo. The establishment. Republicans and Democrats.”
