Medicare isn't "medical insurance". It's a big giant bucket of taxpayer money used to pay medical bills. Completely different from medical insurance.
The idea of medical insurance is that a group of people put money into a bucket and when one of them gets sick their medical bills are paid out of that bucket. Since there will usually be more healthy people paying into it the bucket than unhealthy people it doesn't run out of money. If you disagree with me then you don't know much about business.
