Obamacare is NOT the solution.

After retiring after thirty years in the health insurance profession I can assure you that the author doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. The truth is - nobody really knows for certain how the Healthcare Act will impact Americans except you can count on premiums at least doubling when and IF the law really takes effect. Many key implementation rules that aren't yet known have not taken effect, but for sure the political headwind is just starting and it isn't going to end. Many states, Missouri and Kansas included, have stymied preparation of the state-based health insurance exchanges envisioned by the federal law. IF the exchanges indeed eventually take effect, my take is that employers will wisely dump their current employer insurance plans and let employees flock to the exchanges. The result will be catastrophic for insurers and insureds alike. And, it's possible of course, that the November elections could change the course of health care reform and if this were to indeed occur, it would be America's best scenario.

Nobody knows what the premiums will be like except that most industry analysts all agree that premiums will at least double. Take it to the bank.

Americans deserve better and more affordable healthcare. Obamacare is NOT the solution.
