As someone who has wired and configured many network infrastructures, I can tell you that yes, it could be tremendously risky to hinge your plan (hidden explosives in a building with hundreds of different companies conducting different unknown activities, especially activities involving IT and IT technologies running cables throughout the ceilings and into any and every office, crevice, and duct of the entire building.
