Did immigrants come to America rich? No, few did. It is because of POLICIES THAT PANDER to certain voting blocs and enable sloth. For a 100 years, immigrants came to America, many without even the ability to speak English, but worked hard, were industrious, and didn't expect much from anyone of the Govt. That has all changed due to Democrat politics...now, there are millions that know they can do nothing, and survive. To thrive, they simply steal or do drugs, which is a lot easier than learning a trade and actually showing up to work on time 5 days a week. "America" isn't preventing mobility...lack of appreciation for an education, lack of work ethic, and lack of dignity are.
