Actually no. A fair few of us thought the two best teams in the country at the end of the season were UGA and USCw. Neither team got in. The joke that is tOSU got in and LSU, by virtue of its SECCG moved from #7 to #2 in the final poll. Missouri got beat by OU twice that year and the second time was a pretty good beating. Arky was 8-4 that season going into the bowl...not a great SEC team but, they have been a thorn in LSU's side for several years now...hard to make a claim for Missouri in that situation but, I suppose if there is a gaggle of 2-loss teams, you have as much right to ***** as anyone but, I dont think the bowl selection committee got it right at all that season.
