if there is one thing that the SEC hasn't taught you yet is that winning a conference championship game at the end of the season is going to have a nice bump in your ranking.

who says winning a conference championship game means nothing
look at LSU in 2007 and what they did in the polls.
(winning a conference without a championship doesn't have that same effect, however)
