But these things always happen. It happened to the SEC before. That doesn't mean that in the longer term they will not be considered the top conference, but for a few years, there could be a few teams at the top of another conference that just seem to dominate the landscape. Then it will swing back.

Long term, I believe the SEC has everything it needs to be the dominant long term player for the next 50 years or more.
