Sicne understand this closing position, the use of the bullpen, or pitching changes in clutch situations isn't a factor.
What makes a Managers Career? His starting lineup? He is even worse at that. His philosophy early in the season was win the first two, then rest the starters. So instead of asking the starters to play every game they can when they make 40 times the poverty line, he basically sat them for "rest" or "days off" and discarded potential wins.
I have never liked this hire, this guy couldn't even manage his own life when he lost all of his money after making more than most of us would see in three lifetimes. How is he suppose to run a successful ball club with absolutly zero experience?
That hire makes sense from a financial standpoint, They hire outside, and are able to pay him very little, which DeWitt was probably on board for because the team was coming off a championship run that "should" keep the fan base happy for at least a few years.
