I would love to discuss northern European countries

These countries have nationalized aspects of their economies, and while there are costs and benefits associated with regulating or not-regulating, they have been successful to some degree.
What you will find, however, is that the more racially european the country, the more successful they are with these programs. As mass muslim immigration populations from 3rd world countries increase, you see huge economic calamity.
But small racially-homogeneous populations are capable of centralized planning much more so than demographic cesspools such as the U.S.. China is arguably another example a successful, racially-homogenous country (although not small).
