all sorts of bad things came into play.
Poor air circulation
Poor drainage (sits on bedrock not far down) leading to fungal attacks
Fungus and drainage issues led to animals getting in and tearing up the ground in search of grubs and insects
And a host of other issues.
They even brought in the internationally famous groundskeeper, George Toma, from the Royals and Chiefs. Even he couldn't get it worked out.
