beating #15 Michigan State and losing to #6 Stanford. They also lost to South Florida, Michigan, USC and Florida State. Their winning scalps included Pitt, Purdue, Air Force, Navy, Wake Forest, Maryland, and Boston College...a murderer's row if ever I saw one. Maryland made Mark Schlabach's Bottom Ten, while Wake made the honorable mentions.
