the conference that will benefit football the most, and have good academics. I think that rules out the SEC and b12 because academics won't be good enough and football will be too competitive for their liking.

ND could save the ACC if they decide to join. It won't be the best football conference, but I'd put it pretty close to the PAC and B1G...especially in 5 years when the ACC would be much more improved from their recent poor football success. The death of the Beast will help ACC recruiting more than anyone else. Recruiting is the lifeblood of any program/conference.
