there are several PAC schools which are utterly nothing special academically. There is simply nobody else out West who would not be a net drain. MAYBE BYU but BYU won't play games on Sundays and is totally at odds culturally with Berzerkley and several other Left Coaster schools so that's not gonna happen.

Montana? Idaho? North and South Dakota? Wyoming? New Mexico? Even Nevada. Those states are largely empty.

The PAC is boxed in out West with no room to expand.
