I mean for most of the past 5-6 years, the champions of both conferences--and sometimes another team-- would have qualified for the new "Final Four".

So this new New Year's Day game would basically pit Georgia or Arkansas or maybe LSU/Alabama/Florida against Okla ST/Texas Tech or maybe Texas or Oklahoma.

And no we're not getting anywhere near it.

Big friggin' deal.
