John McIntyre in junior-to-senior year production in my opinion. Proportionally they are probably about the same and I know Buntin had a higher ppg average as a senior, but at least as a junior Buntin was still part of the eight man rotation and got plenty of meaningful playing time. Johnny Mac had been absolutely buried behind the Byron Irvin/Peeler/Lee Coward guard rotation and though he got into games now and then, he essentially went from a total non-factor to a double digit scorer and starter on a conference champion and top five nationally ranked team.
Sorry for the tangent. At any rate, one thing for sure if you look at the COMBINED amount of production that Norm got in 1990 from two players, Buntin and McIntyre, who had done so very little the year before, that was one insanely great coaching job by Norm that year.
