I can completely ignore the 99% of idiots and morons and only read the posts I want to read without having to sort thru all the nonsense. Plus, a good percentage of the time I can tell from a subject line if I want to read a post/thread. This format is WAY more efficient if that's what you want to do.

I suppose that other format is good if you want to read every single post on every single topic. But I have a life, so screw that.
