choose it as its mascot. Just because people aren't educated on the subject or don't utilize facts in forming their position doesn't mean that isn't what it represents today. I think if your ancestors were wiped out in the Osceola massacre you would have a hugely different perspective on this, and you would have a hard time explaining to someone in that position how the meaning has simply changed or faded.
