t because he really wanted to be sure. Staff kept on him, and he decided that he did want to be a part after all. I think kids should be absolutely sure because it's their life for the next 4-5 years so you should be comfortable and happy, or you won't be as successful as you otherwise might have been. See Michael Keck who was a great talent but felt that he didn't fit in for whatever reason (and didn't have any family support either for reasons that have been discussed many times).
Yes, staff has to say at some point, we have an offer to you out on the table and we want you, but if you are unable to commit, that's fine, but tell us and we'll move on to another prospect. Don't/can't be left out without someone who fills that slot because someone can't make up their mind. This is nothing against Ishmael, it's no less the same reality as if he had committed somewhere else and was no longer available.
