I was in Baton Rouge on business several times a couple of years ago, and I would stay at the old downtown Hilton. One weekend, I toured the old state capitol building and I saw a group of state flags arranged around the winding staircase up to the second floor. (BTW, beautiful interior). The sign said that the flags represented all of the states that were carved out of the Louisiana Purchase. I was absolutely livid when I saw the kansas flag, but not a Missouri flag, and politely mentioned it to the lady at the desk. Since she was only a volunteer and couldn't do anything about it, I sent several e-mails to the historical society that maintains the building, but received no response.
As this is an insult to your new brothers-in-arms, it would be appreciated if something could be done to rectify this gaffe.
PS: I plan to return to George's on Perkins Rd. as my home away from home when Mizzou plays LSU.
