I expect huge things in terms of recruiting the top high school players next year here is why...It seems to me in order to land a top prospect you have to have 1 of the 3 things. 1) You must have a good relationship with that player at least 2 year in advance of their decision time. 2) Be a top 3 program nationally Unc, Duke, Kentucky. 3) Must be the in-state team.(we all knows this one doesnt always work if ya dont recruit them!)
Haith and Co. were not going to settle for "leftovers" or major projects. They knew that with just coming to a school w/ no signed recruits he would have to choose, settle for whats left (Mike Anderson was the king of this) or go after high profile transfers. I believe Haith is a coach who would prefer having a HS player coming in rather than a transfer. With that said, i believe that next year and on could turn out to land some of the top 10-20 prospects year in and year out because they have been established at mizzou and have time to build strong relationships w/ High School players instead of trying to jump in late in the process and compete try to compete with the big boys. I just think big, big things are in store for Mizzou when it comes to recruiting....whether it translates to Championships will be the ultimate test, but it wont be due to not recruiting the top players!!!!
