Although Dixon can certainly be thought of as a combo guard (1 / 2); I think we all know he has phenomenal ball control and therefore can play the one without much of a concern. I am always concerned about a “combo” guard being forced into running the offense. It is such a key position that you cannot "hide". I would rather have an overlap of point guards like we do now than a forcing a 2 to do a 1’s role.
