is that regression analysis shows these statistics to be most associated with winning. The teams that rank highly in them consistently, win. There is no way to dispute this. Of course there are exceptions, but the overwhelming tendency is the overwhelming tendency.

No, not everything can be quantified. But of the things that are quantified, we have a very good idea which of those statistical categories winning teams consistently excel in.
