Is the ACC stable?

I'm not sure the ACC is as stable as it once appeared. It certainly isn't powerful given its terrible TV contract.

Maybe the additions of Pitt and Syracuse were to defend the conference in case of potential future defections that they had an idea may be coming?

More importantly, is the ACC stable from a football perspective? That's how FSU and Clemson would evaluate it.
