As an example, in 2006 51.1% of our baskets

were the result of an assist. Indicating that we had to work very hard to score from the field and alot of our baskets were the result of individual effort. Last year we came in at 57.7%. The best season for MU was 2009 when we got 62.2% of our made baskets from assists. That indicates alot of easy buckets.
As with any stat, it has limitations and doesn't tell the whole story. I'm simply saying generally speaking the higher the % in that category the better overall offensively the team is.
