this does is justify my feeling that assist stats don'e mean much. To ignore the no. of dribbles, for example, or not even require it be the last pass, almost makes a joke of the process.
And I wonder how much effect being the "star" PG, as opposed to some scrub off the bench, has on the scorer, especially in the pros. Does Nash get every possible benefit of the doubt?
We'll never know. And I don't care.
