a great FT% = a great team. Your team lineup there proves nothing to me one way or the other. And in fact, your comment at end basically agrees with me and disputes your own point. That is much clearer thinking.

Lets say a team shoots 60% instead of 80% and averages 20 shots/game. Thats roughly 4 extra points a game (actually slightly more in reality). Lets say they lose 5 games by 6 point OR LESS.
How many more wins/season might that mean? How important MIGHT the wins be in the season?

I'll rest my case.
