without any real justification or support, not that I don't necessarily beleive much of it is true. Just alot of references to closed door meetings and what Martin was thinking and what all the players were thinking.
Frank Martin isn't a very good coach. That is the most important point. His offense is rather brutal, but he does coaches good defensive effort and rebounding. That article reminds me of something that would have been written in May of 1999 after Norm was sort of pushed out amid rumors of player defections and a repeated pattern of guys transfering and recruiting falling off. The difference is that Norm was at least 5 times better at coaching and although tough on players he wasn't a embarrassment on the sidelines to the University.
Martin needs very good offensive talent to overcome his coaching limitations. But the problem will be that very good offensive talent is going to stop wanting to play for him and he is going to be left with guys who lesser talents but willing to play hard and be abused by him. Sort of the poor man's model of what Bob Knight did at Texas Tech....but again comparing Frank Martin to Bob Knight in terms of coaching is assinine.
