I believe all this is premature because no one knows how much the ACC & Big 12 will get. Until you see them and compare apples to apples then jumping to another conference would be foolish at best.
The schedule I think once you add in VT, GT, Miami, UNC & NC State aresure as hell better than playing KU, Baylor, ISU.
FSU had the chance to join the SEC and Bowden pulled a Bob Stoops/Mack Brown and didn't want to play the brutal SEC schedule.
As far as money to exit the ACC, FSU has enough big money donors to make this happen if need be.
Again, the key point being until we see the new contracts for both conferences it is a moot point. Personally I think FSU & Clemson are playing their hands in hope that the SEC will offer them membership and not not run of to the Big 12. The big question is would Slive convince the SEC Presidents to accept them as members? Would be two key additions and a much better geographic fit than them jumping to Bevo.
