I think most Illini fans understood that with a change in coaching, his late lottery pick projections and his family circumstances, it was a no-brainer that he was leaving.

But, even if he wouldn't have been projected to be a 1st rounder or even if he didn't have an ailing mother, it's his life. How many of us wouldn't have jumped at 6 figures at 19 years old?

Hell, I might have left for a European contract at 19.
