Flip in the NBA is a head scratcher to me. I don't follow

the NBA a lot but I do know the ability to play defense is highly sought after from all positions. I heard an interview with Marty Blake (NBA Scout) a few years back and he said one the first things they evaluate a player on is the ability to defend. So to me the question for Flip is this. Who can he defend in the NBA? Virtually every NBA guard will be able to shoot over him with little resistance. He might be able to defend passing lanes and keep players from driving to the basket but won't be able to shut down good shooters. And everyone in the NBA can shoot.
