So there wasn't a period in the late 90's and up to about 2004 or when there was a lot of overlapping medicority. hmm

Bama was 61-56 under DuBose, Shula and Francione, Ron Zook lost 15 games in 3 years at Florida, Auburn was 41-32 between 1998-2003, from 1998 to 2002 LSU was 35-27 . . . that's 4 SEC powers playing some pretty mediocre football in overlapping years.
