It's probably unrealistic to expect either fanbase to "cut ties" to each other. If beating kU was the end-all, be-all for Missouri athletics, they would have never left the Big 12, where Mizzou played kU in every sport, every year.
As for cheating allegations, I can't speak to those. FIJI has quite a bit of compelling documentation. But I'm not familiar enough with other "successful" programs to know if what kU does is outside the norm.
