"look" and maybe even getting rid of the block "M" on the side of the helmet (although I never understood the argument that it confuses Mizzou with Michigan. Last time I looked Michigan's helmets don't have a block "M" and never did.) What pushed me over the edge was taking away the striping pattern on the helmet. That has been "pure MIzzou" since 1957. That gold stripe flanked by two white stripes is (or was) virtually unique to Mizzou football.
