Notice the tickets have gone up $20-$40 across the board on ticket prices since the announcement of World Series Ring Night (part 2).
During the telecast, they said in 2 hours they have sold over 6,000 tickets to that game. That was just in the 4th inning.
It got me thinking about that...assuming $30 more profit per ticket times 6,000 tickets--thats a staggering additional revenue of $180,000 just from ticket markups. Assuming that is, the sponsor of the item is paying for the full production costs. That also means conservatively a quarter of a million dollar additional profit (to the game) over the remaining tickets selling.
Pretty slick marketing by the Cardinals.
