I think if the B 12 folds, and it might. I have heard rumors that we too might well end up in the SEC.
think out of the box for a minute.....
If we joined the SEC, it would get them even with the "ACC in BBall. The SEC wants that one two punch like Duke and UNC. Currently they do not have this. UK KU in the same conference? The two winningest teams in NCAA history in the same conference. Several of these games a year would be of more National import (tv) than UNC Duke.
And elite BBall programs in fact can and often do make as much money as good football programs. Look who was the top money maker in the B 12 the last couple of years.
Football has what 11 or 12 games to get the tv revenue. BBall has about thirty. Plus the dance.
We would get killed in football yes. But we are not afraid of a challenge. Haven't been since 1855.
Laugh all you want, but think about it, and look who has made the most money in the B 12. Hint, it ain't a football school."
