because Obama wants to cater to the poor, and the Repubs want to get elected...this economy is not nearly as bad as many say it is...is it perfect no....Corporate profits are a big deal, especially since pretty much everyone now is growing with top line growth, not just cutting costs, which means people are out there buying stuff. debt has nothing to do with the economy today.
