Another possibility

I've seen Anderson ranked as high as #65 among draft eligible college players. I could see a team risking a high round pick on him if they thought he would sign.

Anderson is in a bad spot. If he returns as a senior, he loses a lot of bargaining power. He also has to be wondering how many bullets are left in the gun. Do you use them up at the college level?

I hope he returns but sure wish it had played out differently for him.

Selfishly though, I have to like our starting rotation for next year. Hopefully Eric Anderson returns. Rob Z. is not going anywhere. I imagine Blake H will be drafted but hopefully he will think that another year of college experience is in his best interests. Perhaps the Brett Graves we've seen the last couple of weeks is the real deal. Makes the loss of Emens and Ross a little easier to take.

It will be interesting to see how many younger players are going to look at the players in front of them and bolt for more playing time elsewhere.
