[Even though they would still love to have him, there have been some message board rumblings from "those who would know" that Mizzou may be backing off a little due to some other circumstances. Apparently, the staff was informed that there is a good chance Phil Pressey will put his name in for the draft after next season. If that were to happen, Mizzou would be without any experienced point guards and only a 3* player set to come in that year. And with Oriahki now coming in, Mizzou is left with 1 available scholarship to give out for next year. I think if Devonta told them tomorrow he wants to be a Tiger, the staff takes him. But at the same time, I don't think they will wait forever for him either.
One name that has been floated around is Josiah Turner, a former 5* point guard who is transferring from Arizona. If he came to Mizzou, he obviously would have to sit out next year, but more importantly he would be able to step right in the following year and take over for Pressey when/if he leaves early. Mizzou has some good connections with Turner already through current MU player Jabari Brown and Asst Coach Tim Fuller. Brown and Turner played on the same AAU team while Fuller was the lead recruiter on Turner when he was at Louisville.
I don't know what kind of time frame Turner has in mind, but if he does decide to come to Mizzou before Pollard makes a decision, my guess is they take him]
