This should demonstrate how much you value conference titles and how far you advance in the NCAA tournament, or the overall game by game fan experience depending on your choice.

Lets say you compare this season to the one ku had in 2008-09. Unranked for most of the season, reach the top 20 for the first time in the Feb 9th poll. Terrible non-con loss in KC against a dreadful UMass team. Win your conference regular season but finished ranked behind two other conference schools in the polls. Despite conf tourney 1 seed, you lose in the first game of conf tourney. Reach the Sweet Sixteen but it is with victories over North Dakota State and Dayton. Final record 27-8.

As opposed to this last year. Never ranked outside of the top 10 after December, reach as high as #2. Go undefeated in non-con including winning KC tourney and game in St. Louis. Finish second in conference regular season but are top ranked conference program in the polls. Win conference tournament. Lose in opening round of NCAA tournament. Final record 30-5.
