the opposite position from you for argument's sake. I've always said if you are attempting to measure a conference's strength, you need to do so by including all the programs that make up that conference. Otherwise you are measuring whether the conference contains an elite program. The Mountain West wasn't an elite conference in the early 1990's simply because UNLV was a member of it, nor was C-USA recently a great conference when Calipari had Memphis doing so well. They were terrible conferences that had a great program as a member.
