his audience is stupid sheep or something like that. I merely pointed out to you that the two elements of that sentence, Obama's capacity as a candidate, and the (alleged) stupidity of a segment of the population are not related. Again Clapton's hard-won chops as a musician were not due to the fact that his audience were stoners.
