A person who wants repentance also understands that there is a debt to be repaid to the people who have been wronged, and also punishment.

You can forgive someone for a murder, but they still may get the gas chamber.

Using the Arky fan logic, Adolf Hitler is already forgiven, so, no problem with killing tens of millions of people, cause by golly, he's forgiven.
