and if that article had any substance, it failed to communicate it very well. The message Claire is trying to send (and admittedly I don't see her other stuff) is that she's there to stand up for the regular guy. Republicans in washington, accoriding to such a narrative, are protecting tax breaks for the wealthy and big oil companies and yet can't afford to help regular people because of the deficit. She's going to do the opposite.

Whether or not she's communicating that message well or not, I don't know. But a journalist should at least be able to see that.
